History

CoExist Arts is an artist-led project founded in 2008 by artists Amy Mckenny and Emma Emmerton, who felt there were not enough spaces to make and show work for emerging artists in the Southend area.   

CoExist Arts ultimate aims are to create project spaces that provide emerging artists with studios, resources and gallery spaces to make and show their work.  We are committed to nurturing and promoting fresh and exciting art projects in the Thames Gateway area, as well as (inter)nationally.
